Richly documented with biblical quotes, Women
at the Time of the Bible by Miriam

aspects of women's lives in biblical days. The
103-page book includes poignant portraits of
biblical heroines such as Martha, Miriam,
Mary Magdalene, Rebekah, Ruth and Rahab. Not
only an engaging read, but it's also colorfully illustrated with photos and drawings of exquisite
finds unearthed in the Holy Land. A

Miriam Feinberg Vamosh vividly illustrates village
life, as well as the urban metropolis Jerusalem,

"I'm delighted I purchased the tapes since I
can listen and now imagine myself back on
location." Ruth Walker, Palos Verde
Estates, California

The first tape, which takes us to
Galilee, opens
with a welcome at the airport, and then we proceed
to visit Jaffa, Caesarea, Mount Carmel, Megiddo and
Nazareth. En route we learn to sing “Hava
Nagila” and hear about the revival of the Hebrew
language. Reaching our destination, we sail on
the Sea of Galilee and ponder the storms in our
lives.
The second tape, which brings us to
Jerusalem, opens
in Jericho, the lowest city in the world. Then
we ascend to the “City of the Great King” with a
panoramic view commentary from the Mount of Olives,
and a walk down the “Palm Sunday Road” to visit the
Garden of Gethsemane. We stick our prayer
notes into the Western Wall and walk along the
Stations of the Cross, visiting both the Church of
the Holy Sepulcher and the Garden Tomb. Along
the way we listen to the Israeli hit, “Hallelujah.”
Each tape includes 60 minutes of commentary and a
song.

The tapes came today and they were just what I
wanted. I did not take notes while we were on the
road because I didn’t want to miss anything.
I didn’t write in a journal (as planned) because I
was just too tired at night. I am really
familiar with all the Bible stories, but putting
it all in perspective was what I needed.
Many thanks! -- Lib
Austell, Kernersville, North Carolina
It was such a pleasure to listen to the
descriptions of the places we visited. It is
so obvious that you love what you do; it is
evident in the tone and lilt of your voice.
I sat with the ear phones on, closed my eyes and
imagined myself back in Israel at the very places
you talk about. I was smiling broadly as the
happy memories played on the screen of my eyelids.
Thanks for sharing your passion! --
