| “If we don’t make
travel one of our values, we end up with such a
small view of the world. It’s moments like
watching the sunrise over the Sea of Galilee that
define who we are.” |

Fishing Wharf by Nof Ginosar |

| “At dawn, by the Sea
of Galilee, I wanted to spend some quiet time alone
to fully understand where I am. I want to see what
Jesus saw with His own eyes. I want to increase my
faith. I want to increase my obedience and my love.
I prayed that people’s eyes would be opened. And
then I prayed for the peace of Jerusalem.” |

| “Before I came, I
had a heart’s dream to be on the Sea of Galilee. To
imagine the winds coming up….There was a peace and a
comfort. It was almost like the Lord’s arms were
around me.” |

Sea of Galilee, Good Friday 2005 |
| |
| “When asked, ‘What
was most memorable on your trip to Israel?’ my mind
moves quickly to standing at the edge of the Sea of
Galilee with the sun just rising upon us, as we
broke bread and shared the cup on Good Friday.
We were standing between Tiberias and Capernaum
perhaps near where the risen Lord Jesus broiled fish
for his fishermen friends. Sharing bread and
wine with my fellow pilgrims in God’s beautiful Holy
Land was definitely the highlight of my trip.” |

Sea of Galilee at Dusk |
|
|
|
"I never tire of gazing out over the waters of the
Sea of Galilee, during the early morning, and
especially at night with a full moon — from any one
of a dozen vantage points, including being on the
Sea in a boat.
While it is wonderful as a Christian to think I
may be walking where Jesus walked, which is very
likely in several places in Jerusalem and the
Galilee, it is also a wonderful experience for me as
a Christian to know with certainty that I am ‘seeing
what Jesus saw’ and to sense that I am becoming more
familiar with what was so familiar to Him. How
important it is to see the world through His eyes…at
all times and in all places!” |
